Game basics

'Snake' is a simple classic game where you maneuver a snake around to find and eat fruits that appears in the playing field. Every time the snake eats a fruit, it grows longer. The goal is to keep the snake growing as long as possible without crashing into walls or its own body.

In the 1970s, people played a game called Blockade which probably was the first version of the Snake Game. Then, as computers and phones became popular, Snake showed up everywhere! It got really famous when early Nokia phones came with the game built in.

Gameplay

First, select SURVIVAL or ADVENTURE mode on the snake game startup screen.

Press the on-screen arrow buttons or the arrow keys on a keyboard to maneuver the snake. In survival-mode your aim is to make the snake grow as long as possible by eating the fruits, while avoiding crashing into itself as it grows longer.

In adventure-mode, you can select a level for the snake game. New levels are unlocked when the previous level is completed.

The adventure-mode levels

To finish a level in adventure-mode, the snake must eat the number of fruits listed in the display on the left side of the game window. Walls and obstacles will show up in the levels.
